Crackle bookshelves

I got some unpainted McKenzie bookcases, and decided to use some crackle glaze on them. The result is my favorite effect by far.

Circular bookcase, finished

It took me a while, but I finally finished painting the circular bookcase. Here are some unclear, extremely low-res photos of it.... I kinda wish I had taken pictures of it before I put stuff on it, but it's nice to show off its function. It makes an excellent media shelf/cabinet/display.

Circular bookcase, unpainted

Got this bookcase from the same junk store as the puzzle bookcase. It had been part of the store display for a long time, so it was super dusty and needed a wash. It's an odd, kind of contemporary piece that I think I'll paint red and black in the style of contemporary Asian furniture.

Puzzle cupboard, unfinished

Got this odd teak piece from a junk/odds and ends store, and it was just too precious to ignore. According to the seller, it's from Taiwan. It's clear it was abandoned when it wasn't quite finished, as there are many pencil lines all over it, and the drawers have no handles -- yet. Judging by the dust and cobwebs all over it, it's been languishing in the store for a while.

It needs some sanding, a wash, and some drawer handles before I paint it. I'm still debating what colors to use to color it.
